E-commerce guide
To use inTusell for e-commerce, create your account, pick the "E-commerce" industry, connect WhatsApp and Instagram and connect your store in My business › Channels › Store Integrations. The AI answers product, stock and order status questions; your team approves receipts and the AI never records a payment.
Who this is for
- Businesses that sell products and get customer messages on WhatsApp or Instagram
- Sellers with a store on an e-commerce platform
- Businesses that take bank transfers and want to track receipts
Before you start
- A phone running your business WhatsApp
- For Instagram: a Professional account linked to a Facebook Page
- For the store integration: admin access to your store panel
Sign up and the setup wizard
The wizard has three steps: Company, Channel and Ready. You can skip the channel step and finish it later in the panel.
- 1
Create your account
Sign up on intusell.com. Your account opens with a 14 day trial.
- 2
Tell us about your company
On the "Company" step enter your business name and pick "E-commerce" under "Industry". Add your website if you have one: the AI reads it to learn your products, prices and FAQs.
- 3
Pick your sales channel type
When you pick E-commerce a sales channel type field appears. Choose the closest type; the AI’s wording and suggestions follow it.
- 4
Connect WhatsApp or skip for now
On the "Channel" step click "Show the QR code" and scan it with the phone that runs your business WhatsApp. You can also skip this step and connect Instagram later.
- 5
Review how the AI will talk
The "Ready" step shows the tone, the first message and the priorities of your AI. "Go to the dashboard" opens the panel; "Edit" opens the AI settings.
Connect your channels
- 1
WhatsApp with QR
Go to My business › Channels › Messaging Channels and click "Connect with QR". On your phone open WhatsApp › Settings › Linked devices › Link a device and scan the code. Your phone keeps working alongside the panel. The official WhatsApp line (Cloud API) opens after Meta approval; today QR is the way to connect.
- 2
Instagram through Meta
On the same page, in the "Meta Platforms" card, click "Connect All" or the "Instagram" tile. Log in with the Facebook account that manages your business Page. In the Meta window tick your Page and your Instagram account, then approve.
- 3
Check the connection
After you return to the panel the Instagram card shows as connected. If a warning appears, it says what is missing and has a "Reconnect" link.
Connect your store
The store integration lets the AI use your products, stock status and orders. These integrations are in beta.
- 1
Open Store Integrations
Go to My business › Channels › Store Integrations and pick your store’s platform (for example Shopify, Trendyol, ikas, Hepsiburada or PrestaShop).
- 2
Connect and sync
Enter what the platform asks for and click connect, or connect and sync. Your products and orders start arriving in the panel.
Fill the knowledge base
The AI answers from your knowledge base. Add shipping, return and exchange terms, size charts and FAQs.
- 1
Open the Knowledge Base
Go to My business › Knowledge › Knowledge Base.
- 2
Add your sources
Upload files (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, TXT or images, up to 50 MB), scan your website (it can take 2 to 5 minutes), import your Instagram profile (your last 100 posts) or add a sales call recording.
Product, stock and order questions
- 1
Products and stock
When a customer asks about a product, the AI finds it in your connected store and says whether it is in stock. It does not say the quantity.
- 2
Order status
When a customer asks about an order, the AI can find it by phone number and gives the status only after checking the order belongs to that customer.
- 3
Payment routing
In My business › Instructions › AI Settings › "Advanced AI Settings", use "Customer Redirect Mode" to choose how customers are sent to pay: "Website / Payment Link" or "IBAN / Bank Transfer".
Order notifications
- 1
Pick the stages
On the Store Integrations page open "Order notifications" on your connected store’s card. Choose at which stages the customer gets a WhatsApp message: payment received, preparing (off by default), shipped, delivered, cancelled.
- 2
Pick who receives them
Choose every customer or only saved contacts. These messages are fixed templates; the AI does not write them.
Receipts and payment tracking
- 1
Turn on payment tracking
On My business › Channels › Calendar & Payment, find "Payment tracking" in the payments card and turn it on. An admin can turn it on. Tracking does not impose a payment plan; reminders stay off unless you turn them on.
- 2
Approve receipts
When a customer sends a receipt it waits for approval. You or your team approve the payment. The AI never records a payment and never says it was received before approval.
- 3
Follow Payments
While tracking is on, or when there is an open receivable or a pending receipt, "Payments" appears in the Orders room.
See the AI’s first reply
- 1
Try it in AI Test
Go to My business › Instructions › AI Test and write the questions your customers ask. Check that the answers use your knowledge base.
- 2
Send a real message
From another phone, send a message to your connected WhatsApp number or Instagram account. The conversation appears under Conversations › Inbox with the AI’s reply.
Daily use
- 1
Start from Today and Decisions
Today shows what needs attention. Decisions collects the questions the AI asks you, for example before a cancellation or when it does not know the answer.
- 2
Follow your work in Orders
The Orders room is where your daily work lives. Conversations keeps the Inbox, Contacts and the Sales Pipeline.
- 3
Choose how much the AI does
In My business › Instructions › AI Settings › "Advanced AI Settings" pick the AI mode: Intern (the default) sends replies itself and asks you before a cancellation or refund and when it does not know the answer; Senior also handles cancellations and refunds; Full approval waits for your approval before every reply (web chat and email replies still go out directly).
- 4
Take over a single conversation
Inside a conversation you can switch it to Live, Approval, Shadow or Paused. The change applies to that conversation only.
Things to keep in mind
- Store integrations are in beta; after connecting, ask about a few products in AI Test to check.
- Cash on delivery is not a separate setting. If your store offers it and it shows in recent orders, the AI mentions it as an option; today this works only for PrestaShop stores.
- The AI does not tell customers stock quantities; it only says in stock or out of stock.
- WhatsApp connects with QR; your phone needs to stay online.
Common problems and fixes
- Problem: The AI cannot find a product.
- Fix: Check on Store Integrations that the sync finished; fill in empty product names and descriptions in your store panel.
- Problem: The customer did not get an order notification.
- Fix: Check that the stage is on in Order notifications and that the recipient choice includes the customer.
- Problem: Instagram messages are not arriving.
- Fix: Check that the Instagram account is Professional and linked to your Facebook Page; use the "Reconnect" link in the warning on Messaging Channels.
- Problem: A receipt arrived but the payment did not close.
- Fix: The receipt is waiting for approval; the payment does not count as received until you approve it.
